Program Focus: Alpine Plants and Rock Gardens
Ian Warnock, Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park
As lead horticulturist, Ian’s main duty is to care for (and have fun in) the Lena Meijer Children’s Garden, a delightful and whimsical space. Ian has spoken at national and international meetings, and has written articles for several professional magazines. He will share his knowledge of the history of rock gardens also known as alpine gardens. These gardens feature extensive use of rock along with plants native to rocky or alpine environments.
